About me

image-marcelo-ferroI am a healthcare professional, graduated in Nutrition, post graduated in Clinical Pharmacology with a Master’s degree in Aging Sciences (Gerontology). I have been working for more than 12 years in clinical nutrition at the office and as a consultant for Olympic and Professionals athletes of MMA, judo, jiu-jitsu, soccer, triathlon, marathon, sailing, and swimming.

I work as a nutritionist for the Brazilian Paralympic Judo Confederation and scientific consultant for All Times Nutrition, an American supplements company focused on cellular aging (www.alltimesnutritionscience.com).
I have been a college professor and I have published technical articles in scientific journals and commercial magazines such as the Vogue, Saúde é Vital, O2, Suplementação, Nutrition – Health and Performance of the VP and Gazeta Mercantil Newspapers and the State of São Paulo. I also had a chapter published in the book “Fique bem com o seu corpo e sua mente – exercício físico, saúde, bem-estar e comportamento” (free translation: Stay well in your body and mind – physical exercise, health, well-being and behavior) by Wilmar dos Santos Villas.

I participate in national and international conferences as a lecturer. I have lectured in big companies such as Comgas, Drogasil, Quality Nutrition, Optimum Nutriton and have been a speaker on Philosophical Coffee – a TV Program on the Cultura Channel.

My completed curriculum can be seen at Lattes Plataform: http://lattes.cnpq.br/4596030287924515

I also graduated in Advertising, in which I worked for a short time. Later I ran my own personal training gymnasium and this made me decide to study what I liked best: Biochemistry. I took private classes for 10 years with my great friend and teacher Laerte Kawaushi before taking Nutrition at College.

I am involved in sports since my childhood beginning with tennis, swimming, water polo and then I began bodybuilding and became champion of São Paulo state in 1988 and 1989 and Brazilian runner-up in 1989.
